For the Mauritania National Tourism Office (ONTM) at FITUR Madrid, we developed a space that translates the destination into architecture and experience: a clean, bright, and contemporary proposal that combines local iconography (arches and silhouettes inspired by traditional architecture) with a visual narrative focused on desert, culture, and authenticity. The stand is structured around a high-impact sculptural gateway, an abstract “great tent” with integrated light lines that acts as both a visual landmark from the aisle and a symbolic entrance to the journey.
The interior layout is organized as a content gallery through backlit display frames featuring destination imagery, creating rhythm, depth, and multiple touchpoints for conversation. Functionally, the project integrates a lounge area for informal meetings and a glass-enclosed meeting room (offering privacy without losing transparency), supported by a large panoramic graphic that reinforces the destination promise and enhances brand recall. Overhead signage on a truss structure with perimeter banners ensures high visibility and strong brand recognition in a highly competitive tourism environment.
From a technical standpoint, the design was developed for an approximate footprint of 12 × 10 m (120 m²), with main heights around 5 m, and provisions for electrical and water/drain connections, ensuring full operability for hospitality and on-site support throughout the event. The result is a stand that balances identity, structure, and emotion, designed to attract qualified traffic, facilitate meetings, and project a modern and aspirational country image.
